GABA

What is Gaba?

Metal structure in the shape of a butterfly, designed to perform programmable mechanical movements with its wings, as well as emit RGB LED lighting along its edges, resistant to outdoor weather conditions.

Gaba is connected to translucent posts made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester (FRP), designed to emit programmable lighting effects through an internal lighting system with electronics and individual control of each RGB LED.

OPERATION

GABA

Gaba is intended for recreational areas and social spaces—places where people can interact. GABA detects passersby through its sensors, activating its actuators to begin performing movements that mimic the fluttering of a butterfly, while also generating various types of RGB lighting along the edges of its wings.

WINGS

Metal structure that simulates butterfly wings, composed of two parts: a metallic frame that defines the shape and a plastic mesh/canvas that covers the surface

BODY

Housing designed to protect GABA’s electronic components (PCB).

BASE

GABA support structure, which serves as the connection between GABA and its post, as well as the mounting point for the actuators that enable wing movement
